Family Does What It Can…

The Advent Appeal of the Archdiocese of Durban is the collection taken up on a yearly basis in support of the needs of the retired Clergy of the Archdiocese as well as funding our seminarian's education program. 

As we all know, medical costs and educational costs are two of the most fiscally demanding realities of any home budget. 

We currently have 4 retired diocesan clergy:

Fr Pierre Lavoipierre

Fr Brian Southward

Fr Rodney Moss

Fr Isaac Khanyile

… as well as several OMI and religious order clergy that fall under the care of the Archdiocese.

We care for their all needs from the generous donations that this appeal provides.

Our Seminarians education program stretches over a number of years and caters to the holistic formation of many young men for the clergy. From their ranks come the priests which serve our communities with faith and devotion.

This appeal makes sure that these young men receive the best of care in their development as clergy so that they too, likewise, may offer the best of care to the people of God.

We are all one family here in the Archdiocese of Durban, and family always does what it can to help any of its members… especially its oldest and its youngest, those who have served, and those yet to do so.
