May the Communion of Saints intercede for us before the Most High, that we too one day will join their number in the Heavenly Kingdom. *The Solemnity is moved to the Sunday.
We pray for all those gone before us marked with the sign of faith, that the Lord may be a merciful and gentle judge, forgiving all their sins and welcoming them into His glory.
We prepare once more for the celebration of Christmas, but also for the Second Coming. We look back into the past, and simultaneously look ahead into the future - Christ has come, Christ will come again.
We celebrate the Patronal Feast Day of the Archdiocese of Durban.
We are mighty when we are united, and we can only be united if we reconcile the divisions of the past, overcome hatred, fear, prejudice, homophobia, xenophobia and racism. Our beautiful country has so much potential in its diversity of people, language, and culture, each with their own rich history and important contributions to make. Let us pray for reconciliation, for unity, for peace and harmony to triumph so that we may all, as a society, move forward together into a more prosperous future.
We wish you a most MERRY CHRISTMAS as we celebrate the incarnation!!! Remember: JESUS is the REASON for the SEASON (",)
We wish everyone a restful public holiday surrounded by family and friends.
